A lifeguard is a professional who is responsible for the safety of the people in the deep water, such as water parks, swimming areas and beaches. Professional lifeguards save people from accidents and emergencies. They continuously watch on the lookout for their respective zones and provide high-quality observational signals to identify risky behaviour and dangerous conditions or a distressed swimmer. One of the main tasks is to implement safety regulations and train the customers on the appropriate water behaviour.
Lifeguards step in when there is a need to correct unsafe behaviour, give instructions and enhance a safe and fun atmosphere. They also perform routine checks of the equipment, the chemistry level in the pools and the conditions of the facilities to ensure that they are to the standards of safety. Their response to emergencies is a significant aspect of their work. The applicant for a Lifeguard ANZSCO Code: 452414 will have to fulfil several core requirements. When it comes to the visas, your age should be less than 30 years. You will be required to have a positive skills assessment from VETASSESS. Also required are skilled migration pathways with a minimum competency of at least a good level of English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent in all bands). The minimum required score is 65 points; however, a higher score may be required for competitive selection. Every applicant must meet the health and character requirements of the Department of Home Affairs.
